While men’s expectations of their watches tend to be more focused on the functional, ladies’ watches must also be pieces of jewelry. To ensure that our ladies‘ watches meet women’s expectations, Junghans has always employed creative women in the design and manufacture of these collections.

Women have also historically had a strong influence on Junghans’ management. In the company’s early days, in the mid-19th century, our founder’s wife Luise Junghans-Tobler defied all conventions and played an active role in her husband’s enterprise.

Following his premature death, she took the reins of the company before passing them on to her son Arthur Junghans. Junghans owes its success to her early commitment.
